waZi waWa ~ entry 06

WOOOOOOO.... so the first waZi waWa sold on eBay for the respectable price of $25USD. Thanks Chris I know it was you who bought it. I hope you will be enjoying the company of the white waZi cat shortly.

It has been a while since I last posted. After much ball busting about the quality of my waZi waWas by a certain unnamed party I have been extra meticulous with regards to my newest waZi. The waZi rabbit! Admire the waZi rabbit for it's rabbitness. This waZi will be given to the unnamed parties mother for her b-day *oh god please like it*. My eyes and arms are still twitching a bit. I suppose this waZi is my 3rd draft of the rabbit. I made one yellow/white one, didn't like it. I started this one and it started falling apart a bit. Then the 3rd time.... OOOOOO..... and now I'm done. Enjoy the pics.

waZi waWa ~ entry 05

ooooooup! Okay, as promised in my first blog entry, I have posted my first waZi waWa on eBay for auction. It is the waZi cat that is listed below. I suppose I should call it a waZi Maneki Neko, Japanese fortune bringing cat, but that seems like a bit of a mouthful. I think it is quite appropriate for the first sock animal to be sold... unless it doesn't sell, then... eh.. bad ju ju...

So... yeah... um... a bit short on crazy rants tonight to go with this cat. But maybe something will come to me in the next day or so. Check out the auction on eBay at:

Oh and here are some more pictures of it along with my "branding" :-p

waZi waWa ~ entry 04

twitch twitch twitch.. so by popular demand, and you know who you are, here is the newest one to the waZi collection. The waZi panda. I decided to stop taking vanity shots of the socks and supplies before I made the animal. I figured we have all seen socks, cotton, needles, thread and buttons before in our lives. Seen one you have seen them all right?

Every one of these sock animals is imparted with a bit of my... let's just say 'soul'. That is why some owners of my creations have heard them speak to them. Usually random things like, "hmm, I wonder what is for dinner" or "redrum REDRUM". If you are experiencing high incidences of this phenomenon please stop drinking so much. If that does not cause the symptoms to dissipate I can help you get in contact with the local clergy.

In that light, this lovely creation took three hours of my soul. The nose is a bit frilly but, eh, that's how you can tell it's hand made right?

waZi waWa ~ entry 03

Damn, it is really coming down outside, those on the coast of California will know what I mean. I have recently had many sleepless nights tormented by images... images of.. well, sock animals... Do you think this is a reflection of a restless mind? or am I beginning a spiral downward into the abyss of insanity. hmm... maybe I should work harder on that getting a job thing.

The second creation of the year, the waZi horse! wooooooo so, so horse like, with hair and all the trimmings. Unfortunately this one has already been spoken for, that's right Horn, if you are reading this, the waZi horse is for you. Awesome... actually the sooner you take it the better, its hallow white eyes are draining my soul like that time I had vindaloo curry and insisted that I could take the heat... man that was a rough night, and a rough morning...

waZi waWa ~ entry 02

So, it's the new year, 2008, the year of the rat, my year, wonderful. To bring in the new year I present to the public, waZi emo. Not really sure why it is the emo sock animal. It just struck me as such, head slightly turned down, hands in its pockets, seemingly with the weight of the world crushing down down down on it's shoulders.

Haha, and to think I'm gifting this one to my friends nephews in France. Some what appropriate I suppose. The French strike me as people who like to teach their young life's tougher lessons at an early age.

The waZi emo was made with just one sock, so I do foresee a twin in the not too distant future which will be available online.
